In a recent and tragic incident, militants from the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) hijacked the Jaffar Express train in Pakistan's Balochistan province, resulting in the deaths of 25 individuals, including 21 civilians and four security personnel. The train, carrying approximately 450 passengers, was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar when it was attacked.

The assailants, armed with explosives and firearms, halted the train by destroying a section of the railway track. They then boarded the train, segregated passengers based on their regional origins, and executed specific individuals, including soldiers. The militants threatened to kill hostages if their demands for the release of Baloch political prisoners were not met.
