According to BlockBeats, the London Stock Exchange Group has announced the launch of a blockchain-based digital market infrastructure platform, initially focusing on the private equity sector. This move marks the exchange operator's official entry into the digital asset space. In a recent announcement, it was revealed that MembersCap has utilized the platform to complete fundraising for its tokenized fund, MCM Fund 1. The regulated digital securities exchange in London, Archax, serves as the nominal holder. By leveraging blockchain technology, the London Stock Exchange Group aims to enhance efficiency in the private equity market, which is increasingly seen as a ripe area for digital transformation. While the platform is currently available only to private equity funds, the group plans to expand to other asset classes in the future.
